About the BEE Safe Online Class
Our classes are designed in a participatory workshop style, encouraging attendees to bring their own laptop, tablet, or smartphone. Even if you don’t have a device, there’s still plenty to learn about the internet and staying safe online.
Classes cover a variety of topics which are steerable by majority interest. There is always a strong emphasis on Internet safety and how to avoid some of the dangers like scams and phishing.
Each class lasts 30 minutes and can be scheduled weekly, biweekly, or monthly. Repetition and familiarity are key to building confidence with your internet-connected device. Using videos, hands-on teaching, and fun games like Internet scavenger hunts with prizes, we make learning safe internet use both engaging and fun.
Classes are limited to 15 participants per session, ensuring a personalized experience for everyone. Light refreshments may be provided by your facility to make the sessions more enjoyable.
